On June 5, 2021, in honor of World Environment Day, NTR (NARAYAN THAKURUSING RATHOD) Charitabel Foundation Trust organized a comprehensive health camp in Hastinapur Village near Chikmagalur, Karnataka. This initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the underserved rural community, offering screenings and consultations to over 300 patients.
The health camp brought together a team of dedicated medical professionals who provided free check-ups and specialized health services to residents in need. Among the services offered were 50+ mammograms for early breast cancer detection, as well as comprehensive screenings across various specialties:
- 80 diabetic patients received blood sugar screenings and management advice.
- 30 cardiac patients underwent heart check-ups, helping to diagnose conditions early.
- 80 orthopedic patients benefited from consultations on joint and bone health.
- 50 ophthalmology patients received eye exams to improve and preserve their vision.
- 40 pediatric patients received health check-ups to ensure healthy growth and development.
- 50 gynecological consultations were offered to women for reproductive health and wellness.
- 30 pulmonary patients were provided respiratory evaluations and care for conditions like asthma and COPD.
- 30 neurological patients received consultations for conditions affecting the brain and nervous system.
The health camp was a resounding success, ensuring that rural residents had access to preventive care and treatment that would otherwise be difficult to obtain. NTR (NARAYAN THAKURUSING RATHOD) Charitabel Foundation Trust remains committed to conducting such initiatives that not only provide immediate healthcare support but also raise awareness about the importance of health and wellness in remote areas.
We are grateful for the support of our volunteers and healthcare professionals who made this possible, and we look forward to continuing our work in rural healthcare in the coming years.
