On February 1, 2020, the NTR (NARAYAN THAKURUSING RATHOD) Charitabel Foundation Trust organized a comprehensive health camp in Hullur Village, Bijapur District, providing essential medical services to over 390 people. The camp aimed to bring much-needed healthcare to the rural community, offering a wide range of specialized screenings and consultations.
The health camp offered the following services to address various medical needs:
- 80 diabetic patients received blood sugar screenings and management advice to help them control and monitor their condition.
- 30 cardiac patients underwent heart check-ups, aiding in the early diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
- 80 orthopedic patients benefited from consultations focused on joint and bone health, providing relief and guidance on musculoskeletal issues.
- 50 ophthalmology patients were given eye exams to ensure proper vision care and help prevent eye-related diseases.
- 40 pediatric patients received check-ups to monitor their growth and development, ensuring the well-being of the village’s youngest members.
- 50 gynecological consultations were offered to women, providing crucial reproductive health advice and screenings.
- 30 pulmonary patients were evaluated for respiratory conditions such as asthma and COPD, ensuring they received the proper care and guidance for managing these chronic conditions.
- 30 neurological patients were provided consultations for issues affecting the brain and nervous system, helping to diagnose and manage neurological conditions.
This health camp, like many others organized by the NTR (NARAYAN THAKURUSING RATHOD) Charitabel Foundation Trust, is part of the ongoing effort to provide accessible healthcare to underserved communities. Dr. Manjunath, the foundation’s founder, emphasized the importance of bringing medical services to rural areas, where access to healthcare is often limited: “Our goal is to ensure that every individual, regardless of location, has the opportunity to receive the medical attention they need.”
The camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also raised awareness about preventive care, helping the villagers of Hullur take charge of their health.
